Today, I’m going to blog about one of the most mundane things in the world – water. Yah, hard to believe it, right? But as you all know, I deal with beverages in my work, and like the way Eskimos can see more than one shade of white, we can discern different tastes in water. No kidding!
I recently got the chance to try the company Belu’s mineral water at my workplace. And gosh, my first thought was that this must be the kind of stuff that they serve in some 5*restaurant in Paris or something. The taste is so refreshing, and it’s also carbonated, which gives it that extra zing as it goes down.
And it’s no wonder, because the bottlers had actually used the latest scientific equipment to search out and measure the mineral contents in wells all across the UK. In the end, they settled on springs in Shropshire and the Black Mountains. These places are pristine locations and have no human habitats, which ensure that the springs provide only the purest water. Filtered through the highlands in the area, the water is also rich in magnesium and calcium.
And here’s the real kicker for environmentalists out there – the bottles are completely biodegradable (the first in the world!), so you can get healthy and not pollute the environment at the same time. Cool!
